Whats beyond the edge of the universe? Or maybe a better question is what is the edge of the universe...
Like in every answer, we have to make different assumptions and to this question there are a few answers too, you pick whats sounds best. Lets divide into cases, in the first case we make 2 assumptions: 1) The universe is expanding at the speed of light (Scientists are still trying to figure this one out, but this assumption is still accepted by many people) 2) nothing can travel faster then the speed of light (so fa r true, I'm sure you've heard tons of "theories" that stuff can travel then the speed of light, but for now it will require turning the whole of jupiter into energy to perform, so lets assume it just ain't possible). Assuming those 2 assumptions, we can deduce that nothing can ever reach the edge of the universe and not even look at it, since looking involves recieving light from something. So lets conclude the first case: Case 1:
The laws of phyiscs dictate that nothing can reach the edge of the universe. also, The edge of the universe are the beams of light that expanding outward from its center. OK, case number 2, if your still reading then I guess this stuff is ain't so boring. In case 1 we assumed the universe is expanding all the time, however, recent " fate of the universe" theories suggest that universe might end in a "big crunch", meaning it will not continue to expand on without end. So in this case we can reach the edge of the universe. What will we find there? Case 2 Option 1: Nothing. yea, just nothing. Why? I don't know, it just sounds reasonable. Case 2 Option 2: An entrence to a parralel universe/dimension. Doesnt seem likely, cause if such an entrence exists then that parralel universe is most likely to interact with our own universe making it part of our own universe. But still possible. Case 2 Option 3: The other side of the universe, just like circling around the globe and coming out from the other end. Why? it just sounds reasonable from past exprience. Last time humans tried to reach the end of the "universe" they found themselves coming from the other end and figured they live on a huge ball. I've counted 4 options. you can pick the one you like. Meanwhile, I'm off the edge of the block for a cup of coffee
